Gigondas sur Table stands as the summer’s defining event for lovers of fine food and great wine.
For more than 16 years, on the third Thursday of July, the village square in Gigondas has been transformed into an open-air stage. Framed by the Dentelles de Montmirail, which form a natural amphitheatre, the setting draws the eye across the vast Rhone valley plain, bathed in the final rays of the setting sun. The performance reaches its crescendo when four chefs, a cheese maker, a pastry chef and forty winegrowers come together in perfect harmony to celebrate wine and fine food.
Here, terroir tells its subtle story, both in the glass and on the plate. Delicate bites and iconic wines make the perfect foil for each other, offering guests from near and far a richly flavoured experience.
Visitors wander from barrel to barrel in search of the perfect pairing – a rare opportunity to taste these precious wines in their birthplace, alongside the men and women who craft them. Each year, Gigondas sur Table attracts a crowd of wine lovers and devoted gourmets.
As guest of honour for the 2026 edition, AOP Picpoul de Pinet brings a breath of salt-tinged air to the garrigue-scented vineyards of Gigondas. Entirely devoted to white wines crafted from Piquepoul blanc, the appellation draws its identity from the Mediterranean, offering bright freshness and a distinctive, vibrant salinity in every glass. It is easy to imagine our Grenache, shaped by the Mistral, engaging in a harmonious dialogue with Piquepoul blanc, itself carried by sea breezes.
