In a fishermen's village, the air hangs heavy with pollution and the sky is shrouded in a thick veil of dark smoke. Along the shoreline, a murky sea laps against the fishing shacks, choked with debris gathered like a grim tide. 

In this crumbling and unforgiving world, Mia, the only prostitute, is trapped in servitude under the oppressive grip of a dangerous man: Aapaïn.

Just as Mia makes her bid for freedom, her plans are derailed by the arrival of a lost and bewildered young girl...
