On retrouve Etienne Mbappé et son quartet de haut vol pour sa #CarteBlanche, à la découverte d’un de ses projets les plus chers : un Album Country – Folk, musique qu’il affectionne particulièrement et qui verra le jour courant 2025, en y introduisant des ingrédients colorés et épicés de son Afrique natale. Accompagné de ses 3 fidèles compagnons et artistes émérites Christophe au piano et violon, Phil à la guitare, mandoline et violoncelle, Anthony à la guitare et Nicolas à la batterie, Etienne nous promet un voyage aux sonorités calmes et apaisantes, douces et enveloppantes, rassurantes et réconfortantes, qui nous éloigne le temps d’un concert de l’agitation urbaine tonitruante et frénétique, pour explorer en dehors.
Une approche en profondeur pour faire résonner les arpèges et autres balayages cristallins des guitares acoustiques aux cordes en acier, qui sont la base de l’instrumentation Country – Folk.
« COUNTRY – SIDE », une invisible passerelle au-dessus de l’océan Atlantique, qui relie les rythmiques secrètes africaines à la musique Country - Folk américaine. Deux mondes qui vont s’entrelacer dans des danses occultes, aux mouvements circulaires. Voix captivantes et mélodies envoûtantes aux accents vernaculaires.

We're back with Etienne Mbappé and his top-flight quartet for his #CarteBlanche, to discover one of his most cherished projects: a Country - Folk Album, a music he's particularly fond of and which will see the light of day in 2025, introducing colorful, spicy ingredients from his native Africa.


Accompanied by his 3 faithful companions and artists Christophe on piano and fiddle, Phil on guitar, mandolin and cello, Anthony on guitar and Nicolas on drums, Etienne promises us a journey of calm and soothing, gentle and enveloping, reassuring and comforting sounds, taking us away for the duration of a concert from the thundering, frenetic urban hustle and bustle, to explore beyond.
