The American Theatre Company invites you to three fantastic evenings of improv extravaganzas where The Ghost Sheep, ATC Improv members and two fabulous guest troupes from Leuven and Amsterdam will wow you with their wit, talent and story-telling! You will see full length plays and short sketches that are completely improvised, all taking inspiration from the audience’s suggestions. Different worlds, characters and adventures will be explored in a new show format every night. Expect art galleries, divine interventions, improv matches and much, much more!

Friday: The Gallery
On Friday night, members of ATC Improv and The Ghost Sheep will warm you up with a series of hilarious games! After the intermission, The Ghost Sheep will perform their signature format, The Gallery, and take you on a journey through art history with them, to tell you the story of one special painting. Come find out if art imitate life, or if life springs from art...

Saturday: Maestro
On Saturday, The Ghost Sheep will be joined by the talented, Leuven based  Inspinazie for a round of Keith Johnstone's famous Maestro! Inspinazie Tout-Court started their Improvisation years twenty years ago through Maestro and Gorilla, two formats by Keith Johnstone. Since 2014, they renewed their Maestro license and brought it back to Belgium. A Maestro is an extremely fun improvisation contest, where the audience decides the  scores for each scene. Players with the highest scores stay in the show, the others are disqualified. As we get to the last rounds, there will be no mercy left!

 

Sunday: Divine Intervention
On our final improv night, members of ATC Improv will take the stage one last time and perform a series of games with both players from the Ghost Sheep and our guests from Easylaughs. After the break, our guest group from Amsterdam and the Ghost Sheep will perform Divine Intervention, a format in which the audience becomes guardian angles, watching over the show, tweaking it as and when it pleases to help the players make one fantastic story! Easylaughs is an international improvised comedy group based in Amsterdam. Many of the players are full-time actors and theatre teachers and several of the cast have been playing together for more than 10 years. The cast includes voice actors, television presenters and writers and covers a wide international range with two Dutch, five British, an American, an Australian and a New Zealander.
