Ellinoa est une artiste atypique qui captive par sa voix scintillante, ses improvisations habitées et la richesse de son univers. S’exprimant autant par sa voix que dans l’écriture, Ellinoa place au cœur de sa démarche artistique, l’exploration musicale.

Elle nous présente ce soir le répertoire de MEJIRO, sextet qui tire son nom d'un petit passereau japonais endémique au chant saccadé, mais mélodieux, mais aussi d'un quartier de Tokyo. Le Japon, sous le prisme de l’intime. Parmi les inspirations, citons pêle-mêle Joe Hisaishi (compositeur de Hayao Miyazaki), mais aussi Björk, Bartok, le Danish String Quartet... Entre jazz, musique chambriste, et folk, une écriture pleine de contrastes et de poésie.

Créé en 2012, le créneau #JazzDeDemain a donné naissance à une série de résidences mensuelles et bimestrielles, permettant à des jeunes artistes d’expérimenter la scène, de rôder un répertoire, tout en le présentant au public. Un créneau prometteur et porteur où la créativité et l’émulsion n’ont pas de limite. #SoyezCurieux !

Ellinoa is an atypical artist, captivating audiences with her sparkling voice, her lively improvisations and the richness of her universe. Expressing herself as much through her voice as through her writing, Ellinoa places musical exploration at the heart of her artistic approach.

Tonight, she presents the repertoire of MEJIRO, a sextet named after a small endemic Japanese sparrow with a jerky but melodious song, but also after a district of Tokyo. Japan, through the prism of intimacy. His inspirations include Joe Hisaishi (Hayao Miyazaki's composer), as well as Björk, Bartok and the Danish String Quartet... Between jazz, chamber music and folk, a writing full of contrasts and poetry.
