Ellinoa est une artiste atypique qui captive par sa voix scintillante, ses improvisations habitées et la richesse de son univers. S’exprimant autant par sa voix que dans l’écriture, Ellinoa place au cœur de sa démarche artistique, l’exploration musicale.
Elle nous présente ce soir le répertoire de MEJIRO, sextet qui tire son nom d'un petit passereau japonais endémique au chant saccadé, mais mélodieux, mais aussi d'un quartier de Tokyo. Le Japon, sous le prisme de l’intime. Parmi les inspirations, citons pêle-mêle Joe Hisaishi (compositeur de Hayao Miyazaki), mais aussi Björk, Bartok, le Danish String Quartet... Entre jazz, musique chambriste, et folk, une écriture pleine de contrastes et de poésie.
