À travers son Quintet, Jean-Philippe Fanfant a souhaité retrouver ses fidèles complices qu’il a accompagné si souvent à l’accompagner en retour, pour un voyage musical international, voguant dans l’espace sonore et le temps.. Ce projet a pour but de transcender les frontières géographiques et culturelles, offrant ainsi une expérience riche et diversifiée autour du jazz caribéen. Chaque performance est une invitation à explorer des horizons nouveaux et à découvrir la beauté de la musique sans limites.. Avec David Fackeure au Piano , Thierry Fanfant à la Basse, Allen Hoist au Chant & flute , Arno de Casanove à la Trompette.

Élevé au sein d'une famille de musiciens depuis trois générations en Guadeloupe, Jean-Philippe Fanfant se nourrit d'influences très diverses et développe rapidement un groove qui lui est propre. As des séances de studio parisiennes grâce à son jeu précis et fin, il participe a plus de 400 albums. Jean-Philippe est persuadé qu'il faut décloisonner la musique et que les genres musicaux doivent dialoguer entre eux ; il éprouve ce principe dans sa carrière qu'il partage entre la variété notamment avec Julien Clerc, Touré Kunda, Angelique Kidjo, Maxime le forestier, Bernard Lavilliers,Christophe Maé, Hubert Felix Thiefaine, Louis Bertignac.

Through his Quintet, Jean-Philippe Fanfant has decided to reunite with his faithful accomplices, whom he has so often accompanied in return, for an international musical voyage, sailing through sound space and time. This project aims to transcend geographical and cultural boundaries, offering a rich and diverse experience of Caribbean jazz. Each performance is an invitation to explore new horizons and discover the beauty of music without limits... With David Fackeure on piano, Thierry Fanfant on bass, Allen Hoist on vocals & flute, Arno de Casanove on trumpet.

Brought up in a three-generation musical family in Guadeloupe, Jean-Philippe Fanfant draws on a wide range of influences and quickly develops a groove all his own. An ace of Parisian studio sessions thanks to his fine, precise playing, he has played on over 400 albums. Jean-Philippe is convinced that music needs to be decompartmentalized and that musical genres need to interact with each other; he has put this principle to the test in his career, which has seen him working with Julien Clerc, Touré Kunda, Angelique Kidjo, Maxime le Forestier, Bernard Lavilliers, Christophe Maé, Hubert Felix Thiefaine and Louis Bertignac.
