What to expect
You will come across very different atmospheres : the posh Batignolles district, which despite everything retains a village atmosphere; the brand new district (it does not exist on my old map of Paris from the 90s ...) Clichy-Batignolles dominated by the impressive tower of the new courthouse; then you will reach the district of the Epinettes, still residential and popular, and then you will scamper along the Petite Ceinture (a promenade created on former train tracks) at the end of which you will reach the Cité des Fleurs, a street where 19th c houses and their green gardens are aligned.
When it comes to gardens and parks, what a contrast between the very classic Square des Batignolles and the very modern Martin Luther King Park!
