Véritable figure du jazz, Billie Holiday possède un talent et une voix qui la hisseront aux sommets de la gloire et qui feront d'elle une véritable légende de la musique. Enfance douloureuse, problèmes avec la police, cachets miteux. Billie Holiday était née sous une mauvaise étoile. Le succès, les robes de satin ou les Cadillac blanches n'y changeront rien. Le malheur et le désespoir, (qu'elle chantait si bien), la drogue, l'alcool et la prison auront raison de sa voix fragile et fraîche, jonglant littéralement avec les notes. Disparue en 1959, La Dame au gardénia reste aujourd'hui l'incarnation de la chanteuse de jazz. François Constantin lui rend hommage, avec la voix majestueuse de Camille Constantin (Gildaa) et le talent d’Antonin à la guitare, Samuel à la contrebasse et Vincent a la batterie.

A painful childhood, problems with the police, and a lousy salary—Billie Holiday was born under an unlucky star. Success, satin dresses, or white Cadillacs would change nothing. Misfortune and despair (which she sang so well), drugs, alcohol, and prison would all take their toll on her fragile, fresh voice, literally juggling notes. Having passed away in 1959, The Lady with the Gardenia remains today the embodiment of the jazz singer. François Constantin pays tribute to her, with the majestic voice of Camille Constantin (Gildaa) and the talent of Antonin on guitar, Samuel on double bass, and Vincent on drums.
