Ludovic De Preissac propose un univers large nourri par diverses influences qui fait la part belle aux musiques latines (Bossa- nova, Latin jazz) mais toujours ancré dans un jazz de tradition auquel il reste fidèle. Accompagné par une section rythmique aussi efficace que jubilatoire ces deux soirées sous le signe du partage laisseront place à des rencontres surprenantes, sans aucun doute.

Don Grolnick, notre maitre du jour, est un vrai New-Yorkais, né à Brooklyn le 23 septembre 1947 dans le quartier de Levittown.
Il commence par l'accordéon et suit ses parents qui vont volontiers écouter le big band de Count Basie ou Erroll Garner par exemple. C'est décisif.
Il sera avec les frères Brecker au tout début de l'épopée des "Brecker Brothers" puis au fondements du groupe "Steps" qui deviendra "Steps Ahead" par la suite.
Compositeur, il a fourni au jazz et à ses différentes fusions des thèmes devenus standards; instrumentaux d'abord, puis "parolisés" par des chanteurs ou chanteuses passionné-e-s par sa musique.

C'est notre chemin aujourd'hui que de suivre un virtuose économe et un amoureux de swing jamais en retard d'un sourire ou d'un jeu de mot mélodique.
Les Jam Session au Baiser Salé sont connues et reconnues, nous pouvons nous féliciter de leur succès et de leur reconnaissance depuis plus de trente ans. Fréquentées par tout ce qui se fait de mieux en terme de qualité artistique, elles sont très recherchées et appréciées par des grands musiciens de passage à Paris (Danilo Perez, Quincy Jones, Roy Hargrove, Marcus Miller, Richard Bona, Dave Weckl, Billy Cobham etc.. etc..)

Ludovic De Preissac offers a broad universe nourished by various influences which gives pride of place to Latin music (Bossanova, Latin jazz) but always anchored in a traditional jazz to which he remains faithful. Accompanied by a rhythm section as effective as it is jubilant, these two evenings under the sign of sharing will leave room for surprising encounters, without a doubt.
