Pour ce tout nouveau projet sorti en mars dernier, Ninon Valder s’est entourée de deux grands musiciens, Carine et Abdoulaye, sous les conseils de l’irremplaçable Etienne Mbappé, pour nous livrer une histoire de métissage, d'amour et de vies partagées sur les chemins du monde, entre rythmes argentins et africains, en se nourrissant du jazz.
Ninon Valder est une musicienne au parcours atypique et exceptionnel ayant fait ses premiers pas au Baiser Salé, capable d’allier des mondes tout en conservant son intégrité et son regard.. Nous l’avons vu en duo avec Colacho Brizuela (guitariste, arrangeur et directeur musical historique de Mercedes Sosa) dans l’album Cuscaias (2013 - Acqua Record), ou diriger le trio instrumental Las Famatinas en live et sur le disque Asi seguimos Andando (2020 Les Belles Écouteuses). Dans la voix de Ninon on retrouve Mercedes Sosa, dans son bandonéon c’est l’influence de Dino Saluzzi, et sa flûte elle, transporte au-delà̀ de toutes frontières.
Sur ce chemin, elle est accompagnée de la brillante Carine Bonnefoy, pianiste, compositrice, arrangeuse et une des rares chefs d’orchestre de Jazz à conduire les plus grands ensembles orchestraux français comme internationaux et consacrée par un Django d’Or. Ce trio de haut vol est complété par l’excellent Abdoulaye Kouyaté, musicien passionné et joueur de kora depuis son plus jeune âge, qui accompagna d’abord son père, puis pendant 8 ans le Circus Baobab, premier cirque d’Afrique de l’ouest dont l’histoire est narrée dans le documentaire éponyme de Laurent Chevalier. Il découvre ensuite la scène internationale avec le groupe Ba Cissoko, et joue avec Patrick Ruffino, Maciré Sylla, Mariama, Moh Kouyaté, Djeli Moussa Condé, Jain. C’est tout logiquement que se sont retrouvées ces trois musiciens aux vies, personnalités riches et un peu extraordinaires.

For this brand new project, released last March, Ninon Valder has surrounded herself with two great musicians, Carine and Abdoulaye, under the guidance of the irreplaceable Etienne Mbappé, to deliver a story of intermingling, love, and lives shared on the roads of the world, between Argentinian and African rhythms, nourished by jazz.
Ninon Valder is a musician with an atypical and exceptional career, having made her debut at Baiser Salé, capable of combining worlds while maintaining her integrity and her vision. We have seen her in a duo with Colacho Brizuela (guitarist, arranger, and historical musical director of Mercedes Sosa) on the album Cuscaias (2013 - Acqua Record), or leading the instrumental trio Las Famatinas live and on the album Asi seguimos Andando (2020 Les Belles Écouteuses). Ninon's voice is reminiscent of Mercedes Sosa, her bandoneon is influenced by Dino Saluzzi, and her flute transports us beyond all borders.
On this journey, she is accompanied by the brilliant Carine Bonnefoy, pianist, composer, arranger, and one of the rare jazz conductors to lead the greatest French and international orchestral ensembles, and recognized by a Django d'Or. This high-flying trio is completed by the excellent Abdoulaye Kouyaté, a passionate musician and kora player since his early childhood, who first accompanied his father, then for 8 years the Circus Baobab, the first circus in West Africa whose story is told in the eponymous documentary by Laurent Chevalier. He then discovered the international scene with the group Ba Cissoko, and played with Patrick Ruffino, Maciré Sylla, Mariama, Moh Kouyaté, Djeli Moussa Condé, Jain. It is quite logical that these three musicians with rich and somewhat extraordinary lives and personalities found themselves together.
