About

* LA CABÄNE :
You should be 18+ to participate to this event and come by pair.

La Cabäne is located near station Rosa Parks (1minute).
The exact address will be communicated to you once you have booked. Please enter a valid email address when paying.

* LEVEL :
This course is suitable for riggers who know how to build the main harnesses (any style of TK, structured lacing, structured futomomo) and have a solid basis in floorwork.
It's not essential to have already tied in partial-suspension to attend this course, as we'll take the time to explain how to lock a suspension line and insist on a few safety principles. Of course, if you had already semi-suspended, you're welcome to join us too, and there'll be plenty of new things to try out !

Communication being a central element in shibari it is always preferable to come with a partner with whom you already practice in order to allow a good experience. It's important to have already discussed the framework of your practice (desires, intentions, limits, ways of managing consent).

*  FROM FLOOR TO PARTIAL SUSPENSION :

This class is a complete introduction to partial-suspension. It is suitable for riggers who are comfortable with floor bondage and wish to evolve their practice towards partial-suspension, as well as those with some experience who wish to deepen their knowledge or comfort levels.

In this course, we'll take an in-depth look at structural concepts: how do you know if a harness is suspendable or not? What questions need to be asked when building a harness that will be attached to a suspension line? etc.
We'll also talk about suspension lines: how do we tie and handle them? How do we lock them? etc.

Partial-suspension is riskier than floor bondage, so we will take time to discuss the new safety features involved in this practice.

For those who are tied, this course is an opportunity to explore new sensations and emotions generated by partial-suspension, and to share thoughts on the topic.

* MATERIAL :
A minimum of 6-8 jute ropes (or hemp eventually), ideally 6mm in diameter and averaging 7-8 meters in lenght will be required.

* BÄNANA (she / her) :
Bänana, a ten-year bondage enthusiast, found her passion in shibari in 2017, drawn to its raw and authentic nature.
As she has always been fascinated by the expression of emotions, shibari, and more specifically semenawa has opened up a new path of exploration to her.
She began to follow Docvale’s teaching in November 2018, later partnering with him to co- manage Atelier Simonet in Paris until summer 2023.
Bänana considers that in order to tie well, we must understand each of our technical choices rather than learning the instructions by heart. She gives to her students a solid grounding so they can feel free while tying and put these technical abilities at the service of the relationship with their partners.

Being in ropes is also something to be apprehended. Not that you have to behave in any particular way. On the contrary, every tied-up person has to find the way that pleases him or her. It's also a long journey full of questions and emotions, and it seems important to Bänana that all this is taken into account during her courses.
Bänana's courses are so often highly interactive, with the idea that everyone should have a place to ask questions and express their experiences and feedback in order to grow together in this practice.

Bänana created La Cabäne during winter 2024.

* The partner of Bänana will be Cat for this class.

* CAT (she / her) :
Cat has been a shibari model for 3 years, she enjoys semenawa and exploring her body's capabilities. As a course model she also enjoys sharing the techniques that have given her better experiences in ropes. She regularly gives classes at Port d'attaches.
