Depuis une dizaine d’années, le changement climatique et la surexploitation agricole ont forcé les tribus nomades du haut plateau de l’Atlas au Maroc à se sédentariser. Nombreux sont ceux qui sont partis pour la ville, mais ils n’y ont souvent trouvé que la misère. L’autre solution est de rester, de s’installer durablement, ce qui implique d’organiser l’avenir, à commencer par la construction d’une école.

C’est ainsi qu’aux confins du désert, une tribu a décidé de se battre pour rester sur son territoire et donner une éducation aux enfants. Un espoir qui ne va pas sans tensions, car lorsqu’un enfant est à l’école, il ne peut pas travailler aux côtés de sa famille.

For the past ten years or so, climate change and agricultural overexploitation have forced nomad tribes from the high plateau of Atlas in Morocco to become sedentary. Many are those who left for the city but found nothing but misery. The other option is to stay, for the long run, which means that they now have to plan the future, starting by building a school.

This is how a tribe in the desert decided to stay on its land and fight for an education for its children. A dream that does not come true without difficulties, because when a child goes to school, they cannot work next to their parents.
