Taking, as our starting point, the representations that surround this essential player in the art world, we aim to clarify the curator's functions and his or her relationship to the institutions and actors in the art world, to explain what the curator's working methods might be and, above all, how the artist-curator relationship can be the cornerstone of certain artistic careers.
