For the fifth year running, Les Amis du Château de Saveilles, in partnership with the Parisian company Opéra Clandestin, are once again enchanting the old walls of the château to the delight of local and tourist audiences.
"Un soir d'été à Saveilles" is a unique evening that immerses visitors in a festive and magical atmosphere, with the following program:
5:30 pm:

    Guided tour of the château, by the owner, in French and English

6:30 pm:

    Walk in the gardens & festive candlelit picnic
    Pineau & cognac tasting
    Refreshment bar (beer and soft drinks on site)
    Wood-fired pizza at site entrance

At 9:00 pm:

    Opera "Raconte-moi l'Elixir d'amour", by Donizetti, for all ages 6 to 107! (300 seats available)

"Raconte-moi l'Elixir d'amour" is a show designed to introduce opera to all generations: children, young people and families, grandparents, senior citizens and all those whom the lyrical art of musical theater may attract or appeal to.
We've given ourselves the defi to tell the story in 1 h 15, with four characters who will be singers, actors and narrators of the story!
This small format will enable everyone to appreciate the work, and parents to take their children to discover opera.
The colorful comedia dell'arte characters lose none of their modernity or subtlety.
